Sparta Electric & Public Works is an electric utility provider owned by the City of Sparta. The
electric department was officially established as “Sparta Electric System” in 1961 and was
formerly owned and operated by McMinnville Electric System.
Our goal is to provide reliable electric service to the residents, businesses and industries within the
city of Sparta.
